Mandarin oil is extracted from Citrus reticulata (also known as Citrus nobilis, madurensis, unshiu, deliciosa) of the Rutaceae family and is also known as European mandarin, tangerine, naartjie and true mandarin.

Popular with adults and children alike, Mandarin essential oil has a sweet scent and a calming effect that makes it so favoured. In addition to its use for calming moods and settling emotions it also has anti-fungal and antiseptic properties. Its versatility is also enhanced by its skin toning properties, particularly for acne and oily or dull skin.
